Prepared according to GRI Standards and covering fiscal year 2025, Labs2Life’s Sustainability Report is available online. It is not a compliance exercise: it is the formalisation of a discipline our clients ask of us every day when it comes to safety, compliance and data protection.

We have published our first Sustainability Report, covering the year 2025. It is the natural next step after the ESG rating we obtained in 2024 and now takes a more structured form: reporting according to GRI Standards (“In Reference to” approach), prepared in collaboration with ALA Srl (NSA Group).

For a company that designs, builds and manages scientific laboratories — and that today applies the same method to the facility management of offices and production sites — safety, regulatory compliance and the protection of client data are not a matter of positioning: they are the substance of our daily work.

Why the Sustainability Report matters for our customers

A client entrusting us with the design or management of a laboratory — or today with an office site or production facility — must in turn be able to demonstrate to their own auditors, regulators, downstream clients and insurers that the upstream supply chain is under control. The Report, prepared according to recognised standards (GRI), is a document clients can attach to their supplier qualification questionnaires, ESG audits and due diligence procedures. In practice:

  • It simplifies supplier qualification: it answers, in a single document, recurring questions about certifications, sustainability policies, privacy management and health and safety.
  • It reduces the reputational and compliance risk of those who choose us: working with us means adding a tracked, reported partner to the chain — not a black box.
  • It supports clients in their own ESG paths: many of our clients — public and private — are building their own Report; having strategic suppliers already reporting lightens their workload.
  • It formalises guarantees on data processing: for clients entrusting us with projects in sensitive fields (healthcare, research, regulated industry), documented GDPR compliance is a requirement, not a bonus.

What you will find in the document

The Report is structured around the materiality analysis, which identified five priority topics shared between the company and its stakeholders:

  • Customer health and safety (GRI 416): the design of regulation-compliant environments and the provision of HSE services — RSPP appointments, risk assessments, regulatory obligations — are an integral part of what we offer, not an add-on.
  • Customer privacy (GRI 418): data processing complies with GDPR and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003. No breaches or complaints were recorded during the reporting period.
  • Environmental and social assessment of suppliers (GRI 308 and 414): in early 2026 we launched a structured information-gathering process for our direct suppliers, based on a questionnaire covering certifications, sustainability policies and reporting tools. The first responses are coming in; the scope will widen in the coming months.
  • Economic performance (GRI 201): the document reports the economic value generated and distributed in 2025, with the largest share going to suppliers — consistent with a model that integrates in-house expertise and specialised partners along the entire chain.

Environment, social, governance: 2025 actions

On the environmental side, we completed the home-work mobility survey, a first step towards the energy consumption monitoring planned for the next reporting period. On the social side, sponsorship of “Scienza Under 18 Trentino” and the involvement of suppliers on ESG topics. On governance, our selection among the companies featured in the Osservatorio sul Merito 2025 and the definition of a sustainability roadmap for the 2025-2027 period.

Why we did it

We work with IRCCS institutes, research centres, pharmaceutical and chemical companies, public bodies and schools. These are clients that demand traceability, regulatory oversight and confidentiality. Reporting in a structured way what we do — rather than merely stating it — is the most concrete way of responding to that demand.
