Andrea Palestra

With a degree in Surveying and Energy Management, he specialises in the renovation and commissioning of new research laboratories, identifying routine and extraordinary maintenance work, building management, general and instrumental services, and cost analysis for planning interventions and energy conservation.

He has gained twenty years of experience at: the IFOM Foundation, F.I.R.C. Institute of Molecular Oncology, where he held the position of Technical Office Manager and Facility Manager; Roche S.p.A., overseeing the installation of systems and clean rooms and performing tests; the European Institute of Oncology in Milan, supervising the installation and testing of systems; Fincantieri in Mestre (Costa Cruises), supervising and testing air conditioning systems.

Francesco Contegno

Specialised in safety, workflow management and functional design of scientific laboratories.

A graduate in chemistry and certified trainer registered with the AiFOS National Professional Register, he gained experience at the Mario Negri Pharmacological Institute in Milan, where he carried out research in the field of oncology.

From 2002 to 2011, he was involved in the development of the Department of Experimental Oncology at the IEO in Milan as Laboratory Manager, where he coordinated the activities of 200 researchers from a technical and organisational management perspective.

Since 2014, he has been a founding partner of Aware Lab S.r.l.

Claudio Gattuso

Certified trainer registered with the AIFOS National Professional Register, specialising in scientific laboratory safety and appointed as Health and Safety Manager (RSPP) in numerous companies.

With a degree in medical biotechnology, he gained experience as a researcher at the Telethon Institute of Genetics and Medicine and at a biotechnology company as RSPP and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) manager.

In 2013, he started a professional consulting business on specific HSE issues, in collaboration with consulting firms and specialised magazines, with which he still collaborates in the publication of industry articles.

Since 2018, he has been a partner of Aware Lab S.r.l.
